Less developing countries have been developing but eventhough at a slow rate. In countries in Africa like Angola, Rwanda, Sudan, Benin, Burkina Faso and many others considered by the Un list of least developed countries (LDC).

As a case study, we are going to look at Rwanda. Rwanda is a mountainous country having as neighbors Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Uganda. Architectural practices in Rwanda were at first not great in the past because of several factors that influenced it. : Leopold Mbereyaho and Josephine Malonza (April 2010) stated that Rwandan architecture uses a wide range of materials. One finds structures in thatch, stick/wood, mud, mudbrick, rammed earth, and stone but as the years pass, construction has been fast developing because they invested as from 2006 a lot in construction and architectural practices, we can see below the images of how construction was in the early 2000 and 2019. 

You can thereby see by yourselves that as time passed, construction practices increased too with time. Today, there is no more promising factor in development as construction and architectural practices in Rwanda. For Rwanda to maintain its steady economic growth, it invested a lot of resources into soft and hard infrastructure for it to act as an attraction and call for foreign direct investment. 

In 2020, construction projects in Rwanda are also highly promising for example the Kagitumba-Kayonza-Rusumo road network talked by Dan Ngabonziza (March 2019) is one of the road construction projects by the end of this year.  

In a fast developing world, construction too has being growing exponentially with technology. It has been till the point of finding houses and buildings which are using mostly technology equipments like webcams or alarms.

We can see from the image above that technology has greatly impacted construction practices. 3D diagrams are mostly implimented and drawn with the use of ICT tools like computers.

Construction continues being practiced and is mostly done well in developed countries like China which invest alot in its infrastructure, secondly we have the United States which also invest alot in its infrastructure and technology too. Below are some images on the infrastructure in China that’s the Beijing infrastructure and the floating bridge in the United States.

As seen, construction infrastructure has been fast developing even in Africa and developing countries.
